About the Opportunity

Join SkilledUp Life as a QA Testing and Automation Engineer Volunteer, dedicating 3 hours daily (Monday to Friday) over 60 Volunteer days to gain practical experience and skills ensuring software quality.

You will carry out both manual and automated tests, helping the team identify bugs, write test cases and implement test automation. This role provides hands-on exposure to quality assurance practices that are critical for tech startups scaling their products while maintaining reliability.

Company Needs

• Must have Playwright experience.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or Java)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of web applications and software functionality
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub or willingness to learn
• Systematic thinking to identify test scenarios and edge cases
• Clear written communication for documenting bugs and test cases

What you will do

Volunteer Activities

• Perform manual testing of new features and product updates
• Write detailed bug reports with reproduction steps in Jira or Linear
• Create and maintain test cases for core product functionality
• Write basic automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
• Execute regression testing before product releases
• Document testing procedures and update test documentation
• Participate in sprint planning and daily standups with the development team
• Learn and practice exploratory testing techniques
