Volunteer Profile Completion
Your profile must be fully completed to apply for Volunteer Opportunities. This includes completing optional fields. The word “optional” is confusing and we plan to rectify this in the future. Optional means you do not need to complete it to land on the Volunteer Dashboard. We want to get you through the Volunteer account registration and profile completion stage as quickly as possible. Hence, the use of the word optional, which we accept, is not the best way to describe.
Percentages are allocated as follows:
- Languages – 1.5% (for 2 languages).
- Tags – 5%.
- Profile picture – 7.5%.
- Video pitch – 7.5%.
- Social media – 3% per one (max 9%).
- Education – 10% (full record including name, course and learning).
- Experiences – 15% (full record including role, company name, experiences gained)
- Award and year – 0.5%.
- Skill and level – (per skill 4%) max – 12%.
- Website – 2%
- Introduction – 10%
- Aspirations – 10%
- Ideal Opportunity – 10%
Please make sure you describe your ideal volunteer opportunity in sufficient depth. It needs to be targeted at early-stage tech companies that are providing volunteer opportunities. Do not target charities, non-profits, NGOs, communities, etc. Those types of organisations are excluded from SkilledUp Life. Your volunteering has to be a win-win for you and the tech company. Focus on this aspect and make it inspirational.
